So can you believe it has been 6 months? I can’t!
Let me just say that it has been such a wonderful experience. Its been kind of hard but I love it.
Anyways let’s get to it.
Kason eats every two-three hours I know maybe he should be eating every four hours or more but this works for us. I have been giving him solids now so sometimes he can go a little longer. My breast no longer get engorge like they use to (thank God) they look like they use to lol.
When I’m at work I pump every 2-3 hours. I pump about 8 oz both combine. I was given a electric breast pump so I get most of my milk out. Before I was using a manual pump so it was a bit hard to get it out. My left breast gives me less milk when pumping but when Kason is latched on he gets out a lot more. My right one has always been my girl lol to her it does not matter if it’s the pump or Kason she does not discriminate! I have all my stash at my mothers house because she has a refrigerator outside (I forgot what it’s called)
I’ve been able to eat spicy stuff without bothering Kason. I don’t eat it all the time. I try to stay away from sweets but snickers always call my name along with sodas. I however completely stay away from sodas! I stick to water if I want something sweet to drink I drink orange juice. I have recently started drinking V8 and I like it. I eat veggies a lot for some reason I don’t really eat fruit. I take vitamins as well.
I use to have this huge problem with finding the perfect nursing pads (who would have thought that would be one of my problems right) but I’ve narrowed them down to two, my ultimate favorite one is Well Beginnings Nursing Pads and my second favorite ones are from Lasinoh. I’ve tried Johnson’s, target brand, and this other one I forget the name but they were not for me. The reason why I love those is because both of them stay in place they are not constantly moving around. The reason being that they have not just one sticky part but two so it really keeps them in place. I wear my regular bras the nurses bras to me were not worth it.
initially my goal was just to breastfeeding for 6months but that has changed. I will continue to breastfeed him until he can drink whole milk. Now I know some people think it’s best to keep Breastfeeding even after they start to drink whole milk but that’s where I think I will stop unless something changes my kind that’s where I stand.
I’ve gotten sick a couple of times but I’ve continues to breastfeed him he has gotten sick as well but not for long.
I was told by a couple of people that I would not be able to breastfeed him for long that I was just going to have to give it up. I believe it for a whole but thanks to a couple of people I kept going. It’s hard and painful at first but it gets better.
I think that’s all for this post said it my last post wether you’re Breastfeeding or not just know that you are doing what you think is best. Don’t let other people tell you otherwise.
